  	From 1648 to 1720, Randow was part of Swedish Pomerania. From 1720 to 1818, the area was part of the "Randowscher Kreis" within Brandenburg. After the reorganization of the Prussian state following the Congress of Vienna, Kreis Randow was established on 1 January 1818 in the district Stettin in the Prussian province of Pomerania. [eos]Randow consisted mostly of the rural areas surrounding the provincial capital city of Stettin. [eos]The council was in Stettin. Randow was a Kreis from 1818 until 1939, and was part of the administrative district of Stettin. Kreis Randow was dissolved and divided into other districts (Greifenhagen, Naugard, Ückermünde & Stettin) 15 October 1939.
