Beryl Miench<br>Birth: June 25 1930<br>Death: May 15 2010<br>Burial: Iron Mountain, Michigan<br>Notes: Beryl Miench, 79, of Iron Mountain, died on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain.<BR />She was born on June 25, 1930, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Dalbert and Maude (Williamson) Miench. She attended the Iron Mountain schools, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1948. She went on to the University of Michigan, where she graduated in 1952.<BR />Beryl worked at radio station WMIQ as the continuity director from 1952 to 1956, returning to the same position in 1958 until retiring in 1992. She also hosted the radio talk show "Tips 'n' Talk." She lived her entire life in Iron Mountain, with the exception of bicycling through Europe in 1956 and 1957.<BR />Beryl is survived by cousins, George Zaio of Iron Mountain, Mary (Zaio) Kilgore of Jacksonville, Fla. and cousins in Canada. She is further survived by other extended family.<BR />Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.<BR />The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Daniel Moll will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.<BR />Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.<BR />George Zaio, Mike Zaio, Rick Olds, Mike Quilliam, Ray Paoletti, and Ted Corombos will serve as pallbearers.<BR />In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.<BR />Condolences to the family of Beryl Miench may be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com<BR />The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home with the arrangements.<BR />
