365 Maria was born in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York.

A family book was created by a genealogist sometime in the 1930's or so that claimed she was born in Rhinebeck, Long Island. However, no such place ever existed and it's likely that she found a family bible (possibly Benjamin Wilson's) that stated Maria was born in Rhinebeck, and the genealogist assumed it was somewhere on Long Island since her parents and her husband lived most/all of their lives on Long Island. Primarily in (then) Queens County.

For reason's unknow at this time (12 May 2023), Maria was born in nearby Dutchess County per the record found on Pg. 24 of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Wurtemburg, Rhinebeck, New York, 1760-1899 (baptisms) by Art Kelly. The record is a match for Maria's name and date of birth, along with one of the various spellings of her Dutch parents, father's name: Ransom Keschau (typically anglicized as Ram Cashow); and mother's name: Henriette (anglicized version of Hendericke "Hanke" Hegeman.

Maria was the second wife of Benjamin Wilson after his first wife died following the birth of their third child together, Elizabeth Wilson.

Both Cashow sisters Margarite and Maria went by "Mary."
Cashow, Maria M (I389)

366 Marie Hirsch was baptized in the small town of Baarenhoff in the Province of Prussia. Today, this town in part of Poland (since 1945). She was probably born in that town as well, however, she was almost certainly born somewhere within the district of Marienburg (which Baarenhoff is a part of).

From 3 December 1829 to 1 April 1878, West Prussia and East Prussia were united to form the Province of Prussia, which had belonged to the North German Confederation since 1 July 1867 and to the German Empire since 1 January 1871.

389 Mom (Susan Theisen) tells the story that was handed down to her by her mother, Ruth Rohleder, that Delia "read tea leaves" with the local Indian's during their visits. She was also interested in some of their herbal or natural medicines because Delia was also a midwife in Oconto Falls. Grandma Ruth used to say that Delia delivered more babies than Ol Doc [mom forgot the name grandma used to say].

Delia kept a scrapbook of Oconto Falls newspaper articles. Mom (Susan Theisen) was unsure if this was a hobby of her's. Aunt Judy had one of the scrapbooks. See pictures for Delia.

398 Nassau County didn't become a county until 1899. Therefore, at the time of William's birth, Glen Cove was in Queens County.

The National Archives military hospital record gives Long Island as his place of birth (but incorrectly gives 23, instead of 33 (or 34) as his age). Also gives his closest living relative as "Mrs. J Wilson" of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (obviously, this is his wife Jane Wilson).

His older sister, Levinia's death record in 1909 from NYC states she was born in Glen Cove and her father was Benjamin Wilson and mother was Maria Kershaw. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:271D-X44
